I Won...

the clothing war this morning!

I told her what she was going to wear and if she cried then she was going to sit on her bed until she stopped and she would be late for school. She whined a bit but didn't start crying till I gave her the option of 2 pairs of shoes. Of course she wanted neither pair and but instead flip flops again. It is cool out this morning so I stood my ground and didn't let her have them, that is when the tears started. I simply walked away and told her to stay in her room till she was done. She followed me out wiping her eyes and not another tear was shed. So now I wonder if giving her choices was the wrong thing to do. Maybe I will just start picking out her clothes without her input. Anyway here is a picture from this morning she is less than happy but notice the new Gymboree outfit complete with hairbows.

FYI, typical girl behavior! This is why many people say they would take 4 boys over 4 girls any day. OMG. I hate to laugh but its funny. You should have seen the fit Mya threw about the outfit for their Christmas pictures! And shes 9. Just the sight of a pair of tights has been torture for the poor girl since she was prob 16 months old. I won that battle half the time. Just remember Bre has her own sense of style and thats a good thing. Dont take away her ability to choose. That might make her less confident about making decisions about other things. What do you think is going through their heads when they are freaking out over a pair of jeans? I have no idea. BTW Mya wore her new flip flops for a few days then was pretty much pissed when I made her wear her nikes because of the weather.LOL
