It's Pink!
Marcus is now sporting a neon pink cast almost up to his elbow. He said he was confident enough in his manhood to wear pink, LOL!
I will take some pictures later to post.

Not Again
Around this time last year Marcus broke his hand. Well today it is his wrist! Yes he has a broken wrist. The doctor said it isn't a bad break and may not even require a cast this time. I guess we will find out some time next week when we go to the bone doctor.

Clothing War
That is what we are having the last 2 weeks-a clothing war. It is me against Bre and she is wining most of the time.
Every day we have went through the same thing and it ends up with me frustrated and her crying. Here is how it goes down.....
She will say no to every item of clothing that I offer her. She will then insist of some shirt that she has already worn once or twice that same week. I tell her no pick another one she starts to cry and it is all downhill from there. If we are not fighting about a whole outfit then it is about the pants or shoes.
This morning she picked out a pink t-shirt with butterflies, fine good choice I think. Next she is very determined she is wearing her pink flip flops even though it is only 50 something degrees outside. I go along with it just trying to keep the peace. I pull a pair of jeans off the hanger that she has worn many times before and all heck breaks loose.
She starts screaming and I do mean screaming that she does not want those pants. I think WTH they are just jeans. She has no other pants that would match cause she has outgrown all her plain pink pants and I haven't replaced them seeing how summer and short season is just around the corner.
I drag her into them with her screaming "I don't want those pants!"
I drag her to the Jeep with her still screaming.
I drag her into preschool with her yet still crying over a stupid pair of jeans.
I try to give her choices but she is making it impossible. Plus I didn't buy a closet full of clothing to have her wear the same $7 Wal-Mart SpongeBob t-shirt every single day. I also refuse to crumble under the pressure and let a 4 year old child get her way every single time. I just can't figure out what has brought this defiance along. I hope it is just a phase that is soon outgrown instead of a new way of life every single day.

Bre's Birthday
I took cupcakes and ice cream cups over to Bre's school for her birthday. After that she came home early with me and opened 3 presents. She will have to wait for the rest till her daddy gets back home and we have her party.

Bad Blogger
I know I have been a bad blogger with no new posts. Personal life has been getting in the way of posting though. Everyone is fine and hopefully there will be new cute pictures soon.

We Bought A New Car.....
for DYLAN!!!!!!!!!
There is no way he is old enough to drive yet, is there?
He will be 16 this July and we wanted him to go ahead and get his vehicle so he can get used to it and be ready to take the driver's test using his own car.
When we started out he didn't even know if he wanted a car or a truck. After looking at a few he 'knew' this one was the one. So he is now the proud owner of a 1999 Monte Carlo. It is all black with a sun roof and black leather interior. It also only has 65,000 miles on it.
I know I would have been a happy 15 year old if someone would have handed me one way back when!

Back and sick
We had a blast at the concert!
It was the second time we had seen Papa Roach and he put on an even better show than the last time. And that is saying a lot cause he ROCKS!
Buckcherry was so so IMO. The instruments drowned out the singer's voice too much it seemed.
As far as Avenged Sevenfold goes, I have never seen anything like them before. They have a new fan in me that is for sure. Not that they needed me cause they have a very loyal fan base as I seen last night. And their fans are crazy wild.
By time we left the concert my ears felt like they were bleeding. Never before have I been to a concert that done that to me. Dylan just told me welcome to an Avenged Sevenfold concert, LOL.
Today Dylan and I both are sick. I think it is a combination of standing out in the cold and light freezing rain waiting for the doors to open, screaming till our throats hurt, unbelievable loud music, and all the cig. smoke. A visit to the doctor tomorrow is on the agenda. But before you ask....Yes it WAS worth it!

Rock Out Time
As Bre would call it....it is rock out time! Or as I would call it...time to feel young again.
We are leaving tomorrow morning to head up to St. Charles, Missouri to see Avenged Sevenfold, Buckcherry, Papa Roach, and Saving Abel in concert.
I am one proud momma that our 15 year old will go to concerts with us and actually thinks it is cool that we like the same music instead of being embarrassed to be seen with us. Of course Marcus thinks it is cool to be only 10 and getting to see all these awesome bands.

small update
Sorry for not positng in awhile. Joey is home and I always seem to slack off blogging when he is here cause we are busy.
He said that all the pictures of the ice storm did not do it justice....you just have to see it to believe it. He bought a new 4-wheeler and trailer to haul all the tree limbs on and is cutting the bigger stuff up for dad to use in his fireplace next year.
Our pool is ruined and will have to be replaced. That really stinks cause we just put a new liner in last summer. Oh well.
Dylan and I both had some sort of virus for a couple of days but are better. Now Joey is coming down with a sore throat. Bre has remained well and is rotten as ever. Marcus is living almost pain free for the time being so that is wonderful.
